Testimonials
“From the moment we walked into Discovery Harbor we felt welcome. During my husband’s year-long deployment to Iraq, the staff and teachers were there to support my daughter (as well as me!) through this difficult time. The director and office staff went above and beyond to help plan a very special homecoming for my four year old when my husband returned from Bagdhad. They decorated the building and called the local newspaper and television station. Watching my husband surprise my daughter during her surprise party was a moment I will never forget. I am always greeted when we arrive at school, and my daughter’s teachers are helpful, kind and above all, they truly care about my child. I couldn’t be happier!”
“We have been so pleased with how our child has taken to her new class. From what we can see on cameras she is enjoying the time spent with her new classmates and teachers exploring her new environment. The attention being given to the children is wonderful. We have noticed her increased desire to learn how to say so many new words and read, read, read. The Penguins teachers have really been extremely supportive during her transition and for that we thank you so very much. We are excited she was able to start at DHLC so soon!”
“I thought that my experience with DHLC was unique until I spoke with my in-laws who have a child that attends also…and they thought the same thing. Come to find out, every parent I have ever met feels they have a unique experience because the staff and teachers are not just following codes and an agenda. They develop a relationship with the whole family and have an open line of communication. I feel I can come into DHLC at any point and am welcomed with open arms and a smile. I couldn’t love the teachers more. They are so knowledgeable about everything from learning to crawl to imaginary friends and are eager to even help us as parents when we are struggling with a milestone. I take great comfort in knowing when my son goes to “school”, he is in a wonderful and nurturing environment that encourages him to excel and express himself as an individual.”
