School Age Program
We serve Mountain Island Elementary School students and families. This school year’s bell schedule has changed for MIE. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. with classes beginning at 8:45 a.m. School will dismiss at 3:45 p.m. A teacher will be there to meet the children before the last bell in the atrium of the school. They all walk over on our connecting sidewalk.
Upon arrival, we give them an afternoon snack, allow for homework time or quiet time (teacher’s may assist), and they may play in centers designed to support their learning skills. They go outside to play everyday; weather permitting. We are open for them to attend on various days when CMS is out (see our calendar).
Parents must sign their child up for full-day care here when attending on CMS’ closed days. We are a State regulated program and maintain teacher/child ratios at all times in accordance with age groups.
